Relationships

Relationships can be funny things. So many of the people that we once knew are no longer around in our lives. I tend to think about my old friends from elementary school a lot. They were really all I had growing up, and I still miss them to this day. I always imagined us hanging out together until we were old and grey, reminiscing about all the good ol' days of life. It's strange how it seems like everyone has changed so much from the outside looking in, but really maybe they haven't so much? But what do I really know.
I had two guy friends that I had known from preschool to high school but then they just both seemed to go their own ways, leaving me behind. For a while I felt totally isolated and alone. I had literally no one to hang out with and just spent my time people watching in the halls. It's never as much fun by yourself let me tell ya. I thought for the longest time that this was all I was going to be doing for the rest of my high school days but it ended up not being that way in the end. I made quite a few new friends at the school and by senior year I had a whole new form of confidence that I never thought I would have. I'm not saying that I ran for student body president or anything like that. But I learned about many different groups in school that I never thought I'd be a part of in a million years.
I ended up joining stage craft in drama. It was a lot of fun and I gained so many new and amazing friends. I had a ton of fun learning about the different aspects of the craft and how the whole process went together so seamlessly. It opened up so many new doors for me my senior year and it let me experience a ton of new things. I got to work as a prop girl backstage on three different plays and see how the actors worked on perfecting their lines. I got to go on many different trips and just try out so many amazingly cool things. Overall it was an awesome journey for me to go on and I wouldn't change it for the world because it altered how I looked at school and all the different doors that can open for someone like me.
Overall, I think that all of my relationships that I've had through the years have been really special to me. Sure, I do miss some of them and wish that I could go back to that space in time again. When I do look back on all of the people that have helped me in my life I do feel incredibly grateful and blessed to have known them all. Some more than others. haha. But they helped to shape me into the unique individual that I am, and I do mean unique. :) Memories are really important to me and I do tend to dwell on the past a bit much but I think that being sentimental can be a good thing every once and a while. I know it makes me happy, so why not? Right.

On a side note, this song has been amazing at putting a smile on my face this week!

sitcom laughter.

Well, I'm back once again.
I haven't been here in a really long time it seems. That tends to happen with me, I think I'll stick to something and then I move on with a new idea in life. But anyways, I don't have much new to report. I've been watching a lot of classic television shows which are a lot of fun to get into. Right now my mother, brother and I are watching "The Golden Girls" on DVD. It's a lot of fun because I'd never even seen the show before. Also, earlier this year we started watching "Family Affair" which is a 1960's television sitcom. I just think that Anissa Jones is super cute and Mr. French is awesome. If you haven't seen either of these amazing shows I suggest you get on that stat! It's just a really nice way to get some of that pent up stress out with a good laugh.

I never know what to post on here except for my life updates. Which usually are very scarce, considering I don't do much. Oh, yeah another show that isn't vintage but has been a lot of fun for me is "Switched At Birth" on ABC Family. I really love the whole concept of the show and how they incorporated ASL into it. I have always been fascinated with sign language and now to have a show that is on every week is just great. I am already caught up with the show and I love watching and practicing all the signs. I think that being a deaf interpreter would be a really reward and fun job. I mean, you could speak with your hands and not have to worry about being too quiet like I am. And it really is an amazingly cool language and so beautiful. I would suggest checking out that show as well because it's got a super premise and it's educational.
Summer around here hasn't been too exciting. I went to a fair with my mom and this coming
weekend were gonna go to an art walk, which is basically an art fair. We usually go to that every year too. I haven't had a chance to see any of my friends yet but maybe sometime soon. It's mostly just been really chill and easy going around here. It can get a bit dull but I can't do much about that.

I want to be a more regular blogger but it's kind of hard for me to remember to get onto here and actually have something interesting to post about. I know that most people that have blogs actually have lives but I don't really so it's hard to really come up with good ideas to write. I was thinking of maybe making this into an old Hollywood type blog were I post about different actors/actresses that I'm interested in at the time? Or maybe just Hollywood types in general. I really don't know, just trying to think up some ideas. I really enjoy people and learning about their lives and what they did to get were they are or were for some of them. But I don't really have any great ideas yet just trying to kick some around at the moment.

I've been wanting to get back into writing. Since Amazon is doing this whole fan fiction type thing on Amazon Worlds, I was trying to think of what I could write. I have always enjoyed writing since I was in elementary school. I don't know if I'm really any good, since people told me I was when I was in fourth grade but I'd still like to try to write something. I am aware that I'm a bit rusty but I think that I could accomplish at least writing a short story. I don't know, just throwing out ideas into the wind.

Anyways, I should probably end it there because I am just going on and on and that's not fun for anyone.

Until later,

dreary days...

Fall. It's an alright time of the year but I just really don't love the rain. I've been stuck inside for a while now because it's been really cold and wet. Don't get me wrong, I like autumn a lot more than winter but still, spring and summer are my favorite times of the year. I live in a very gloomy place, so when summer rolls around it makes me so much happier.
One of the things that I do enjoy about fall is Halloween and everything pumpkin related. I just love a good pumpkin pie or anything pumpkin like. Yummm. Carving pumpkins is a lot of fun and I did two last year but it was a lot of work. And the pumpkins that I got didn't last very long. That was a bummer, since I worked so hard on making them. This year I think I'm just going to stick to painting a pumpkin. Another thing I love about Halloween is the movies! I just love a good scary movie. Last night I watched "Friday the Thirteenth" for the first time. It was an alright one. The best part was the ending though. Some of my favorite Halloween movies are:
  • Double Double Toil and Trouble
  • Halloween
  • Arsenic and Old Lace
  • Silver Bullet
  • Hocus Pocus
  • Halloweentown
  • Underwraps
  • Psycho
  • Nightmare before Christmas
  • Sleepy Hollow
  • Scream
  • The Shining
That's probably just a short list of Halloween related films that I like to watch around this time of the year. I really like them a lot. I really want some pumpkin cookies now or something.
I hope everyone does have a happy halloween! :D (like anyone is reading this.)

Long time no see.

I haven't been posting on here much because well... I forgot about it to be honest. I don't think about posting on a blog like this one much. It takes a lot more time than tumblr and no one is usually reading a blog like this. So yeah. I have been on tumblr for the most part. I don't think it makes too much of a difference whether I post on this blog or not. So yeah.
Anyways, I haven't been up to much as far as life goes. Just hanging out at home with no one. I don't know what to write about on here at the moment. I just wanted to write something since I haven't been on in so long! But yeah, other than that I don't have much. :/
I've gotten back into The Three Stooges as of late and have seen all of the Curly shorts now. It's a bit sad though, I have seen them all. I really like Curly because he just seemed like such an interesting human being to me. I got a book about him that his niece Joan Howard wrote which is a really great read. And the photographs are wonderful. Love it. I'm glad that I got it.

That's all I can think of to write as of now, so yeah. Until next time. (which may be in a few months..haha)

Some edits and such.

So these are just some of my LATLB edits I did a week ago. I got bored and made these. I was just messing around in PS.

Blerg.

Today I have to go to the dreaded doctors. I really dislike doctors appointments. They are some of the most annoying things we have to do in life. I usually feel like they don't really help you much because I always come back feeling the same way about my problems as I do going in. So I dunno. Today just seems like another frustrating day. I guess I could try and look at something positive out of this whole thing. I don't know what really but, I can try. So yeah. Also today is the return of The Vampire Diaries which is something fun to look forward to.
Yep.

March 14, 2012

So since I've last been on here I've had some changes in my life and everyone's in the world for that matter. But with me, I'm now twenty-two. It doesn't feel much different than twenty-one really. I'm still the same old me. So I don't really notice my age anymore because every year I feel the same as the year before basically.
And now for the news heard round the world that changed my life. Davy Jones of the monkees passed away on February 29th of this year.  It was such a sad day all around. I still cannot believe that he is truly gone. He will be deeply missed by many people.
Lately I have been really getting into his daughter Annabel's music. She is an amazing singer and songwriter. I love her work with "Lady and The Lost Boys" and her newest endeavor "BlueBell." I cannot wait to hear more music from her. In my spare time I've been making up some mock designs for her band. (I know I'm strange.) But I really wanted to do this because when I appreciate an artist I get this creative urge to make something. So these are some of them...

So these are just a couple of them. I've done some more for Bluebell and some for LATLB. I might post those later on, sometime.
If you would like to listen to some of her music you can check her out at http://www.bluebellshouse.net/ or her blog http://whitethroat.tumblr.com/
